The Rogue R3 Beam is powered by an USHIO NSL-300W discharge lamp that generates a bright beam of 208,006 lux at 49.2′. The beam focuses down to a pencil-thin 0.8° beam for tight aerials.

The unit features a color wheel with 14 colors plus white that are individually controllable for solid and split hues. The wheel offers continuous scroll at variable speeds. There are also individually controllable and layerable 8- and 24-facet prisms as well as motorized focus and frost effects for even light distribution. The gobo wheel with 17 static metal gobos offers even more creative options for massive visual impact. The wheel also features continuous scroll at variable speeds.
