The Allen & Heath AR2412 is a 3U 19-inch rack-mountable digital stage box designed to extend compatible mixing consoles, such as the Qu, SQ, and Avantis series, with 24 XLR inputs and 12 XLR outputs. It operates at 48kHz and places your I/O and preamps close to the stage.
It connects to the host mixer using a single, standard Cat5 cable running Allen & Heath’s proprietary dSNAKE protocol, allowing the rack to be positioned up to 120 metres away. This setup provides remote, scene-recallable control over all microphone preamps and their +60 dB of gain.
For more expansive setups, the unit features an Expander port for daisy-chaining an additional AR84 or AB168 AudioRack, and a Monitor port for integrating with ME personal mixing systems. It also includes an Aviom Pro-16 compatible monitor port. It provides a true plug-and-play experience, handling automatic firmware updates directly through the host console.
