The Allen & Heath DT168 is a rugged, portable Dante interface designed to add 16 microphone preamps and 8 line outputs to compatible mixers and digital networks. It features 96kHz analog-to-digital converters, dual Dante ports, and AES67 compatibility, making it highly versatile for live stages, rental companies, and permanent installations.
Built for the demands of the road, the unit houses a fanless, durable chassis protected by hard-wearing rubber bumpers and a sturdy carry handle. It can be deployed flat on the stage floor, placed on its side, or installed into a 19-inch rack via an optional rack-mount kit. Its locking EtherCon connectors ensure secure and reliable network connections even in high-traffic environments.
The DT168 offers seamless integration with Allen & Heath’s dLive, Avantis, AHM, and SQ mixing ecosystems. Engineers can remotely control the onboard preamps (including analogue gain, pad, and phantom power) directly from the console surface or via the DT Preamp Control software on Windows and macOS. Furthermore, dual Dante ports support switched or redundant operation modes, while full Dante Domain Manager compatibility ensures seamless operation across large, distributed audio networks.
